Game Operator Applications

Ever considered offering your time for free giving support to players as a GameOperator in one of our universes?
If the answer is yes, consider the points below and if the applications are open go for it. :D

What does a GameOperator do?
  • A GO reads through players inquires and answers them one by one, mainly through the ticket system and IRC.
  • A GO checks his/her universe(s) for players that don't follow the rules and ban when and if necessary for a given amount of time.
  • A GO remains friendly to the users and is always as helpful as possible, we work as a team and help each other as much as possible.



REQUIREMENTS: Please note that applications not meeting the following requirements, including the minimum 500 words, will be rejected!


What are the requirements to be accepted into the team?
  • Being over 18 years old; Due to legal issues.
  • Having a considerable amount of time to offer to the job (At least a daily average of two hours).
  • Accepting positive feedback and criticism from other members of the team, while being able to successfully being part of it.
  • Having a helpful and easy going personality.
  • Enough game and rules experience to be able to actually help people.
  • A Minimum amount of time being spent on IRC (Specially support channels) after being hired.
  • Being able to enjoy team work and some fun!


What should you include in your application? (Minimum of 500 words)
  • The way you can fulfill the requirements above.
  • Briefly some real life work and studying experience.
  • Why we should hire you.
  • What actually motivates you to apply.
  • OGame experience; at OGame.org as well as other communities.
  • OGame universes you have played and are currently playing.
  • If you were banned in the past, what for.

Applications that have been submitted before September 2 have been reviewed and emails have been sent out.

If you have submitted an application before said date and have not received an email yet, feel free to PM me or any other GA on boards.

Applications submitted after September 2 will be reviewed in the upcoming weeks.

If you think that you are worth making it in the Game Team, by fulfilling all the points listed in the previous post and want to help the OGame Community, please do submit your GO Application: we might be just looking for You and the OGame.org Community needs Your help and support.


NOTE: if your application has been rejected and want to know why it was, then feel free to PM me on boards or any other GA, and ask for the reason why it was rejected.
