Most of these new features can be found in the "Mystery Container", which you can get without DM. You will also be able to stockpile the features so you have more than one in your "inventory".
(Edit: I say "most" because you will not be able to boost the Scrap rate from the mystery container - well unless you find DM.. which is also possible in the long term. All the new features will be obtainable for free)

what a suprise, more updates to help the people who pay to play this game.
i used to love this game before all the DM, re-design, merchant, officers and relocating stuff, its just a game to favour people who have money now.
GF will never listen.

Say all you like gameforge those who pay loads and use loads of DM now have such a massive advantage over normal users.
Free ogame is dead now, which is a shame because I used to enjoy it. 3.0 and 4.0 are simply horrific and ruined the core game which everyone loved. No chance i'm going to return to any new uni's with this rubbish coming in.

I can understand that they need money to run the game but this is not right. Would it not be a good idea to add a new type of ship/research/defense/buildings to improve the game which don't invole using dm but using game time. That what will bring players back not adding more DM add ons. By the way where did you get the new manager who runs GF. Facebook

Not a massive fan of this update...some features are good, such as the Junk dealer and the random daily item (wondering how much this will cost...) but I still feel that the massive boost to mine production is OTT. On the other hand the price for these new items is v high. I'm hoping that not too many people will invest heavily in these. It will be interesting to see if they are bought. I'm slighlty confused about the mine boosters. If you buy one, does it boost all mines on that planet (assuming that all mines are above the level requirement)? And can you have one on each planet at the same time? Possibly this hasn't been annouced yet but would be useful to know. As for the rest of it...need to see how it is all implemented and how the mechanics of some features work.
On a side not...surely it is too soon to stick such a massive update in, given that we have just had the (terrible, IMHO) v. 3 updates. I have a feeling that this one may be the straw that breaks a few camel's backs. We shall see.

You can pay for extra mine production:
Gold:
+ 30% - 25k DM - boosts max. mine lvl 28 (even if your mine is higher)
Silver:
+ 20% - 8.5k DM - boosts max. mine lvl 24 (even if your mine is higher)
Bronze:
+ 10% - 2.5k DM - boosts max. mine lvl 20 (even if your mine is higher)
Then you can exchange resources for honour points:
buy with resource points
Honor Points:
1 HP: 100 resource points
Honour is for sale. Am I the only one who finds this bit ironic.
