i dont think its anything to do with Talk talk eather since well im not with them unless my net company changed and ive been paying the wrong net company eatch mounth
Who are you with then? TalkTalk bought out many smaller companies so you might still be in a contract with a company which is actually owned by TalkTalk.

I have created a new thread on TalkTalk's forums as they suggested. Please do not post here, but you are welcome to read it and any responses I may eventually get.
http://talktalkmembers.org/forums/showth…4509#post484509

Can I suggest anybody else experiencing the issue with TalkTalk and Ogame also creates a new thread for their issues.

To anybody not using TalkTalk that is experiencing similar issues, maybe the company you are with is part of TalkTalk, but if not, it may still be that they too are trying to implement something similar to TalkTalk and therefore also causing the same side effects. Perhaps you could ask your ISP if they are implementing similar "spying" techniques.

I hope we can get an answer to this soon, I too have only just signed up to TalkTalk :-(

Oh, this is getting more interesting on the TalkTalk end:

Is there anyway we can opt out of this feature. I paid for my internet, if I want to be protected, I'll ask for it.

posted by Dobrucki: You have installed Huawei systems in your network whereby URLs, communications, are intercepted and gifted to a third party for processing.

1) You have done this and run trials without asking consent from your customers OR the sites you are scanning thus violating The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.

2) You say you will continue to do this gifting of URLs to Huawei without asking consent from your customers OR the sites you are scanning thus continuing to violate The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.

3) It has been established that URLs can and do contain Personally Identifiable Information and you are gifting them to a third party for processing thus violating The Data Protection Act 1998 and The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

4) You have co-located [?] this 'equipment' in the Radius servers, presumably supplied by Huawei, and are using them to do the site scans. My UserName is...

MyPhoneNumber@talktalk.net

Might I assume that all of a sudden my username will become....

My24DigitRandomUNIQUEIDENTIFIER@talktalk.net ????????

5) You are actively scanning and classifying/profiling websites for content just after your customers visit them. As I suggest Phorm without the DPI.

6) And you have done this covertly using your customers as guinea pigs in the same way that 'some other company' also did stupid things covertly.

News elsewhere indicates you are also breaking the internet!!

http://discussions.apple.com/thread....art=0&tstart=0

That is one utter and complete shoddy mess.....

Oh, and given Huawei, a Chinese company, is doing this for you you might wish to contact the company mentioned here,

https://nodpi.org/forum/index.php/to....html#msg29886

Not Phorm, the Chinese one that will offer you the same services.

I think TalkTalk are going to take ages to fix this issue.
Therefore, can a GO please answer these questions, if possible, so that we can continue to play our beloved game.

1. Would disabling the IP check have any impact on this? (I am not asking if I can disable it, just want to know if it would help).

2. Would using something like Tor (http://www.torproject.org/) get around the problem and would this be considered illegal in gameforge's eyes? (i.e. if I tried this, could I get banned)

3. Is it possible for gameforge to block/ignore these "additional" ip addresses that TalkTalk are now throwing around for the purpose of their "new exciting feature" (That I don't want!).

4. Any other help or suggestions please.

Otherwise, Ogame is just not playable anymore for me and anybody else on TalkTalk :-(

Thansk,
Pete.

It might, your GO can normally check your account to see if it has any chance of succeeding, once you got logged out a number of times and logged in again. Or just go to http://www.whatismyip.com when you login and again when you get logged out. Or just refresh the page every few minutes. If the numbers after "Your IP Address Is:" change and you didn't reboot your computer or reset your modem or the like, it will likely help.

Yes, that's a great way to get yourself banned. Given the nature of the Tor concept it won't help anyway.

I'm not sure what your provider is doing, but if gameforge blocks ip addresses it will eventually cause more problems with people who can't connect. Like you, if you're given such an address.

I've not had any issues since I first noticed the issue a few days ago - been absolutely fine, I thought it had all been fixed, but clearly not if other people here still get it :/

I have had no issues with being logged out today or yesterday after 4pm, i played in the morning and had no problems as well, is the "feature" turned off, or is it no longer causing issues with gameforge?

That's not entirely true. He's talking about two static IP's belonging to a company. Blocking them or coding your anti-bot system to ignore them wouldnt cause any problems for players at all, because those IP's wont be circulated among the general public.
