Simply place 2000 RL on each moon. That will make it impossible to destoy the moon without clearing some defence(unless the attacker is a noob who uses more than 1 RIP per. MD)
Else than that you should have 167(I think it is) dest ready to ninja the MD =)

In fact, sending just 1 rip in a MD against an 8k moon is the n00bish move here, not the other way around. You should at least use 2 or rather 3 per wave if you want to have a decent chance at the moon actually blowing up. And since you're most likely going for a fleet returning from a FS, you only have one chance against a certain enemy.
Therefore, you're a n00b if you send 1 rip per wave vs. an 8k moon![]()

Maxy has a point. If it's a new moon for a highly developed account, just build the shipyard after lots of robos and bases and a JG. Build lots of plasmas...and it may as well be a LOT of them since you're only doing it once....then strip down the yard, build lanx, strip down the robos as you build more lanx. Yeah it costs, but so does a fleet lost because MD put it on someone else's lanx, not to mention the rest of your moon build. It's just a matter of what you want to spend versus the risk. Noone said you had to keep the yard.
