This battle is a battle I thought I would never get to fight, for the lo(n)gest time I was an occasional trading partner and 'buddy' to the previous owner, then one day about a month, maybe 2 months ago, I get probed, I see who by and send a 'hey dude, forgotten who is on your buddy list? type message, imagine my embarrassment when I realized that he had already deleted me before he probed and it was I who needed to rememorize my buddy list, anyway, no reply to any of the messages I send and more probes kept arriving every couple of days, so I did what anyone ranked 234 would do in a similar situation when player ranked 123 was probing, hide my fleet and wait for an opportunity to present it self.

If you are doing the maths, figure in half mill duet to launch the fleet and 300,000 or so to launch recs and that seems to add up to about the duet score in the follow ups and plunder, so basically they 'paid' for my duet costs and even tho there was still "moe" Metal=464.600 floating above the target when I ran out of recs and time, I think that the entire exercise was well worth it, tho I do feel sorry for my LF pilots, I had only just built them back up.

Dear King Pin (and others) thanks for the congrats, for the record, the only extra fleet at my disposal was 111 Bombers, add them and the main effect would have been to slow me down- which is also why I dint add any SC or LC fodder either- I felt the NEED FOR SPEED and I'm pretty sure caught him at just the right time, lanx told me there was a large fleet of LC due to his bunker a hour or so after the battle..

Anyway, I pretty much launched every thing I had as fast as I could and even tho I had another 100 LF just finishing up in the shipyards,I dint want to delay the extra 30 mins or so just to write a 'more symmetrical combat report, but perhaps the most important part about this attack from my point of view is that "the fighting fleet I got", is all I got, because I have always allocated resources to recyclers and have more of them than anything except HF and LF. Point being, that had I not built the 'boring ships' instead of the exciting attacking ships, I would not have been able to make this attack with-in the time frame at all, as it was, this target was right at the top of my firepower and solo recycling ability, thanks all once again to Moe who scraped up the last little chunk of metal, securing all DF, Moe of course will be keeping that metal and putting it towards building more recyclers...
